Introduction

This readme includes important information about your Caseworker Connect Evaluation Pack. Please read it carefully. This file is divided into the following sections (all links are to sections on this page):

Browsing the CD

To access the files on this CD, insert the CD into your CD-ROM drive and open Windows Explorer. The CD will appear in Windows Explorer as "EvalPack" (D:), where "D:" is the letter of your CD-ROM drive. Downloading the Upgrade

CD Contents

The CD contains the following files and folders at the top level:

The 'docs' Folder

The 'docs' folder includes a variety of additional resources (flyers, short briefing papers, sample reports, testimonials) for learning more about Caseworker Connect. The documents are available in PDF format. Double-click the file you are interested in. If the file does not open, see below for information about getting Adobe Reader. This is free software that allows you to view PDF documents.

This folder also includes a folder called 'sample training files'. This folder includes a sample training presentation for the Quick Advocacy module. To view the presentation, double-click "play.bat". Do not try and open the PowerPoint presentation directly.

The folder called "sample reports" includes some sample Caseworker Connect reports. All reports are in html format and open in your Internet browser.

The 'trial' Folder

The 'trial' folder includes all of the files required to install the 14-day trial edition of Caseworker Connect on your computer. See Installing the Trial Edition below for more information.

The 'Caseworker Connect.vcf' File

This is our electronic business card. You can open, print, or add this file to your list of Outlook Contacts.

This is a text document. The document you are reading now is the html version of the 'Evaluation Pack Read Me First.txt' file.

The 'Evaluation Guide.pdf' File

This is a PDF file that contains all the information you need to install and evaluation the Caseworker Connect 14-day trial edition software.

Getting Started

To get the most from your Evaluation Pack, we recommend that you start by reading 'Evaluation Guide.pdf'. This contains an introduction to Caseworker Connect and also provides complete information for installing and evaluating the 14-day trial software. Double-click the file to open it. If the file does not open, see below for information about getting Adobe Reader. This is free software that allows you to view PDF documents.

We also recommend that you spend some time reviewing the additional resources in the 'docs' folder.

Getting Adobe Reader

Adobe Reader is free software that allows you to view PDF documents. You need Adobe Reader (or a similar product) to view some of the documents on your Evaluation CD. You can download Adobe Reader here:
